FCAI SIG

AI for neuroscience

Coordination: Professors Hanna Renvall (Aalto University & Helsinki University Hospital), Lauri Parkkonen (Aalto University)

This SIG focuses on developing and applying AI methods to neuroscientific data for better understanding of the structure and function of the nervous system and their link to behavior. Methods applicable to human neuroimaging data are in a particular focus. The SIG aims to facilitate the use of AI to advance basic neuroscience as well to improve clinical diagnostics of brain disorders that are seen as the most important health challenge of the 21st century. The FCAI partner institute DataIA located at the Université Paris–Saclay, the most highly ranked university in the EU, is involved in the activities of this SIG.
