Call for Scientific Presentations

AI Day 2025

AI Day is the main annual event highlighting Finnish AI research and its
applications taking place November 13, 2025, in Otaniemi, Espoo, Finland.

The scientific program of AI Day 2025 is organized by the Finnish
Artificial Intelligence Society FAIS
(Suomen tekoälyseura STeS).

A key aim of the scientific program is to provide a comprehensive
overview of the various AI research directions currently pursued in
Finland. To this end, we encourage submissions presenting recent
research results and innovative applications of all areas of AI,
including (but not restricted to):

  • Agent-based and Multi-agent Systems

  • Computational Intelligence

  • Planning and Scheduling

  • Robotics

  • Safe, Explainable, and Trustworthy AI

  • Semantic Technologies

  • Uncertainty in AI

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Paper/abstract submission deadline: September 5, 2025

  • Notifications: September 15, 2025

  • Registration for presenters: between September 16 and October 5

  • Conference: November 13, 2025

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The focus of the scientific program is in communicating forefront research of the Finnish AI research community. Submissions from outside Finland are not considered.

There are two submission categories:

  • 1-page abstracts, to be presented as posters

  • Full papers, to be presented as either posters or 15-minute talks,
based on papers published, submitted or to be submitted in or after 2025
in international conferences. The program committee decides about the
form of the presentation based on the interest of the work to the AI Day
    audience.

All submissions are in the form of a PDF file. For full papers, any
paper format used by major conferences or journals can be used. For
already published or accepted publications indicate the publication
venue in the paper PDF.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

The submission deadline is September 5, 2025. Late submissions will not
be considered.

As there will be no published formal proceedings, submitting work for
presentation at AI Day 2025 will not disqualify the work from being
submitted and published at other peer-reviewed forums.

WHERE AND HOW TO SUBMIT

Submissions are through the Microsoft CMT website (link will be
activated soon).

Register for Microsoft CMT and submit a single PDF file together with
the required metadata by September 5.

AI DAY REGISTRATION FOR PRESENTERS

To confirm participation in AI Day and to aid the preparation of the
presentation schedule, all accepted presenters must register for AI Day
by October 5. If you have not registered by October 5, your presentation
will not be included in the conference program. Registration for
accepted student presenters is free, so please postpone your

  • Rebekah Rousi, University of Vaasa

The submissions will be screened for suitability, with an emphasis on
scientific relevance in terms of AI research and interest to the Finnish
AI research community broadly interpreted. A key aim in the selection of
presentations is to obtain a balanced scientific program covering the
various AI research directions pursued in Finland.

Detailed instructions on the final form of scientific presentations will
