Professor Hannu Toivonen (University of Helsinki)

Hannu Toivonen is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki since 2002. He has worked on AI for over 30 years, on various topics from data mining to computational creativity. Hannu has 200 scientific publications with 26000 citations in total. He has served as the Programme Chair of leading conferences in his fields (IEEE ICDM 2014, ICCC 2015, IJCAI 2022 Special Track on AI, Arts & Creativity). At the university, Hannu has served as a Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs, Head of Department, and Director of Doctoral and MSc Programmes. He has acquired external funding for over 7 MEUR, including five EU projects and numerous domestic projects.

Associate professor Perttu Hämäläinen (Aalto University)

Perttu Hämäläinen is an associate professor of computer games at Aalto University. His research spans topics such as exergames, VR, and AI for games. Relevant to this event, he has worked on Large Language Models (LLMs) for player experience research, e.g., understanding games as artistic and emotional experiences. He has investigated using LLMs for both analyzing textual research data such as interviews and surveys, and generating synthetic research data.

D.Sc. Arash Hajikhani, Research Team Leader, Adjunct Professor (VTT)

Dr. Hajikhani is a scholar and Research Team Leader at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland's Business Foresight and Strategy area. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor at LUT University, Finland with a specialization in innovation and technology management. He applies quantitative and data-driven methodologies to assess Science, Technology, and Innovation systems.

He is also an ardent observer of the evolving field of generative AI, particularly large language models, he has been actively involved in exploring their opportunities and challenges. His practical experience extends to implementing, repurposing, and enhancing these cutting-edge tools in diverse work scenarios and research tasks.
