The European Big Data Value Forum (EBDVF) is the annual central event of the European Big Data and AI communities. This year it will take place on October 14–16 in Helsinki. EBDVF 19 is organized by the Big Data Value Association (BDVA) in collaboration with the European Commission and VTT as the local organizer. The event is an official side event of the Finnish EU presidency.

Highly distinguished speakers give their views on the transformative power of AI and Big Data. As an example, in a high-level panel, industrial and research top leaders discuss over the topic ”Does Europe have a Future in AI?“

Speakers include Minister of Economic Affairs in Finland Katri Kulmuni, Risto Siilasmaa (Chair, Nokia Corporation), Roberto Viola (DG, DG Connect, European Commission), Norbert Gaus (Executive Vice President, Siemens), Antti Vasara (President and CEO, VTT), and Oded Cohn (Vice President, IBM Research, Haifa).
