AI Day 2020 is focusing on Europe and the competitive world of AI

AI Day 2020 is focusing on how Europe can prosper in the highly competitive world of AI. Due to the COVID-19 situation, AI Day will be organized online on 26th November.

"This year, I am particularly excited about our esteemed keynote speaker program focusing on how Europe can prosper in the fast evolving, global and highly competitive world of AI. My hope is that Finland can work as a trailblazer in this development”, says Petri Myllymäki, Vice-Director of FCAI.

Finnish Center for Artificial Intelligence organizes the event in collaboration with the recently revived Finnish Artificial Intelligence Society FAIS.

“In order to optimally leverage on our national strengths, we need a solid understand of the various AI research directions currently pursued in Finland and tight networking among AI researchers in Finland at large. This is what the scientific program of AI Day aims to achieve.” says Matti Järvisalo, Chair of FAIS.

The new Industry and Society track at AI Day will discuss AI success stories inspired by speakers from leading Finnish companies and startups.

“AI can help solving our big industrial and societal challenges, if applied in the right way”, says Caj Södergård”, Research Professor at VTT and Chair of the Industry and Society panel.
