Highlight D (HD)
Atmospheric AI
The Highlight is focused especially on the application of interactive AI in atmospheric and Earth system research, building a virtual atmospheric laboratory to combine ML/AI models with physical and chemical models.
Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are making their inroads to atmospheric and earth sciences. There are lots of opportunities to do research in physical sciences more efficiently and to obtain novel results of high impact—both in atmospheric and computer sciences—by developing and applying novel AI methods to solve scientific problems.
The research relates to the Research Programs Agile probabilistic AI (R1), Simulator-based inference (R2), Interactive AI (R5). The Highlight also collaborates with Atmosphere and Climate Competence Center Flagship.
You can join the Highlight D mailing list if you want to be informed of events and developments regarding the Highlight.
